StopVi Offers an Innovative way to Stop Mass Shootings
Current efforts to stop gun violence and mass shooting include performing background checks, reducing east access to dangerous weapons and restricting fun modifications such as large round magazines and bump stocks. These efforts have been largely ineffective in reducing gun violence and mass shootings. StopVi’s approach to curbing gun violence is similar to home burglar alarm systems. Such systems work by sounding an alarm when movement is sensed inside a home or place of business while the alarm is set and active. These systems contain numerous sensors that can detect motion, alerting you or your neighbors to a potential intruder.
StopVi’s security system would detect an assault type gun inside a facility and up to 10 feet from any restricted area entrance. However, the StopVi RFID systems would only detect a weapon and its location in restricted areas. Gun owners with weapons “off-site”, and out of designated restricted areas, i.e., public, would not be detected by the StopVi system. The RFID system would require permits designating the restricted area. No third-party government agency would have access to the information gathered by the StopVi system. Individuals and entities leasing the security systems would be given a unique temporary code that could be revoked if they fail to follow the terms of the agreement with StopVi.
Needed Legislation
A crucial step in making StopVi’s life-saving security system effective is new legislation would need to be adopted that requires gun owners to exchange their current AR-15 style bolt carriers for bolt carriers that have an embedded StopVi RFID system. The bolt carrier replaced by StopVi would be a premium bolt carrier that would work like a new bolt carrier. Because of the design of the AR-15 style rifles, gun owners can easily remove their old bolt carrier and reinstall the new StopVi RFID embedded bolt carrier. Legislation would also need to require new AR-15 style rifles to have StopVi RFID bolt carriers. Check out the StopVi website for more information!
